ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mackenzie’s passion for art was fueled by taking studio art lessons at age seven. As she continued in her creative journey, she steadily built into the foundations of her portfolio, eventually sparking commissions. At the age of seventeen, Mackenzie attended the Art Institute of Chicago’s summer program, and then went on to attend the University of Cincinnati to receive her BFA from the DAAP program. Her artwork has been displayed internationally including Ohio, New York City, Miami, Italy, Puerto Rico, Spain, and London. Embracing the many expressions of the art world, Mackenzie has endeavored in: luxury fashion, film production, art education, art historical research, and work as an art appraiser in New York City. Her passion and practice fuse the different outlets of her creative expression, ultimately finding an artistic voice through mixed media on canvas. Her expressive and spiritually diaristic work is densely layered in composition and is enhanced by contextual display of visual storytelling.
