Featured Art Miami Artist: Halim Flowers

As seen in Artnet and Ebony Magazine on November 30th and December 1st, 2025

With little surprise, DTR represented artist Halim Flowers has taken the spotlight this Miami Art Week as an emerging artist whose artistic portrayals of the American justice system and drive for activism signify his importance at the fair.

Artnet discusses Art Miami’s social momentum, and identifies our spotlight of paintings by Halim Flowers, “whose work channels lived experience through a critical lens on American justice, transformation, and identity.”

Flowers is mentioned a few days later in EBONY Magazine’s article featuring artists that are activating change at Miami Art Week, 2025. He is listed as one of seven artists that are using their canvases and exhibits as statements of activism, allowing viewers and collectors to live and learn stories of injustice through their creations. Author Delaina Dixon states, “Presenting at DTR Modern’s booth, [Halim Flowers’] work speaks to his dedication to understanding the importance of activism in overcoming and achieving a better life.”

We are proud to exhibit a collection of Halim Flowers’ works at this year’s Art Miami. His work is also accessible for viewing and purchase at our four gallery locations in Boston, New York, Palm Beach and Washington D.C.
