Harlem Fine Arts Show
Midtown, New York — We are excited to announce our attendance at this year’s Harlem Fine Arts Show with newly represented artist, King Paris.
This year’s fair will be held at The Glasshouse NYC at 660 12th Avenue in New York, from February 20th to the 22nd of 2026.
“The Harlem Fine Arts Show (HFAS) celebrates the multi-faceted African Diaspora by bringing together contemporary artists with a new growing class of collectors. The goal of facilitating this coming together is to showcase cultural ideas and raise awareness of the extraordinary body of work created by these international, national and local artists.”
Milandou Badila, known professionally as King Paris, is a Congolese American multidisciplinary artist whose practice moves fluidly between sculpture, painting, performance, and design. Rooted in African heritage yet deeply engaged with global contemporary culture, his work reimagines traditional forms as living, monumental expressions of identity, memory, and resilience.
Born in Paris, France to a Congolese father, founder of the National Ballet of Congo, and an African American mother, a playwright, Paris was raised within a lineage of ritual, performance, and artistic expression. Immersed from an early age in the visual and spiritual languages of African culture, he developed a practice that draws from pre-colonial traditions while forging new dialogues with contemporary materials and global audiences.
In March 2026, Paris will release a series of exclusive painted variants in collaboration with DTR Modern Galleries. These works are uniquely finished with hand-embellished Swarovski crystals and oil pastels, transforming each piece into a singular convergence of fine art, sculpture, and luxury. Debuting as limited editions, the series expands Paris’ vision of Contemporary Tribal Art into a new dimension of material richness and collector engagement.
Across disciplines, Paris’ mission remains resolute: to honor ancestral traditions while positioning African art not as artifact, but as a powerful, evolving force within contemporary global culture.
