Stanford Slutsky

Slutsky is a contemporary artist, whose creations are three dimensional, mixed media and hyper-realistic sculptures in exaggerated sizes of foods.

Slutsky’s primary subject matter is three-D mixed media sculptures that reflect his love affair with food. Prior to creating, he must sample the real thing and then he begins the process to build, construct, sculpt, sand and paint. His multi colored, and textured surfaces are carefully crafted with many coatings, lots of imagination and much more.

Food brings people together and there is no better way to celebrate life. He activates the hunger people have for the things that give them pleasure and forces them to surrender to their inner youth. The sensual nature of his works stimulates basic human needs and desires that generate cravings and passion. He hopes to bring a little nostalgia and memories of the sweet things in our life when we were younger.

Slutsky has exhibited in numerous venues and participated in many national and international competitions including Boca Raton Museum of Art 54th annual, All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition, and in 2016 his sculpture “Assorted Candy” won at The Armory in West Palm Beach, and has been exhibited at the Sundook Fine Art Galleries in Delray Beach, FL. Some of his solo exhibitions: Coral Springs Museum of Art, The Ft Lauderdale Art Institute, Nathan D. Rosen Museum, Ft Lauderdale Museum of Art.
