The Manhattan Express: Contemporary Icon, Damien Hirst

Damien Hirst, the provocateur, makes conceptual history. He marks a rebellion of contemporary art and the art world. Hirst first rose to fame in the late 1980’s and has created a body of work that is powerfully oppositional. While his work explores many themes, he is well known for his confrontation of life, death, and the fragility of the human experience.

Hirst has hit fame in many different areas, from his tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde, to the hatching butterflies on canvas, to his spots, pills, and skulls, he is one for the art investors and collectors. With a large following, client base and international fanbase, we are honored to have such a large collection of his works, and on display at all of our gallery locations.
