Biography

Stev’nn grew up in rural Ontario with a 35 mm camera in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. He studied film, painting and photography at Concordia University in Montreal and continues to draw influences from these disciplines. After working as the director of a non-profit film co-op, a director of indie music videos and as an international award winning television promo producer, Stev’nn returned to his painting roots by creating a series of photography & mixed media landscapes.

These paint splattered enlargements depict the farmhouses, roads and big skies of his childhood and explore the boundary between photography and painting. In private collections throughout the world, Stev’nn’s work can also be found in such public collections as the Ritz Carlton, Toronto and the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls. Stev’nn has recently been filmed for the (artist) reality TV series, “Star Portraits” and has twice been featured on Bravo TV network.
