All are encouraged to attend, but please RSVP to [email protected] prior.
A skilled sculptor and painter, Brendan Murphy illustrates human figures, bears, spacemen, thumbprints and more, to relay the main motive behind his art, connecting people under humanity. His works represents the human experience comprised by a complex, multi-dimensional equations of emotions. While we are all constantly trying to make sense of our emotions, his signature formulas explore how we process our emotions and the spectrum of the human experience.
Brendan creates the idea of his sculptures using 3D design and technology, then makes the mold based off of achievable size and scale. Then, based on his vision for the aesthetic, look and feel, he uses different materials, ranging from carbon fiber to marble to wood. Finally, he finishes the work with a heavy marine layer of clear coat, so that my pieces can live outside.
His space creatures live in the Boonji Galaxy, a universe Murphy has created that is powered by the expression of emotions and freedom. All are welcome with love, smiles and open arms, and the same goes for his artistic presence. He wants to create art that is truly for everyone to enjoy.
