Pablo Picasso
Picassó made a point not to hand sign many of his graphic works for marketing and money making purposes.  Collectors who had acquired unsigned folios or individual works would come to Picassó and ask him to sign each piece.  He charged on average around a hundred francs during the thirties for his autograph.  It said that in 1972 he was charging twenty thousand dollars per signature.
